Barbgaunts are what happens when the Hive Mind decides subtlety is overrated and straps a living artillery cannon onto a very unwilling pair of legs. Driven forward by parasitic overlords, these creatures exist for one purpose: launching volleys of bone-shattering barbs that pin enemies in place and make advancing across the battlefield a truly bad idea.

Each Barbgaunt lumbers along as a walking weapons platform, its organic launcher fused to its body and guided by a brain-burrowing parasite calling the shots. The result is a unit that excels at disrupting enemy movement while peppering them with a steady rain of jagged, explosive projectiles.

This kit builds five Barbgaunts with 20 plastic components and includes 5x Citadel 40mm Round Bases. They’re push-fit for easy assembly, so you can get them onto the table quickly—just add paint and a healthy respect for personal space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to assemble and paint this?
Yes — most miniature kits come unassembled and unpainted on plastic sprues. You'll need plastic glue, clippers, and paints. We carry everything you need to get started.
What paints and tools do I need?
At minimum: plastic glue, sprue cutters, a primer spray, and a few base paints. We recommend a starter paint set like the Citadel Battle Ready Paint Set for beginners.
Is this a good starting point for the hobby?
Combat Patrol and Starter Sets are designed for new players. They include enough models for a small game and are a great introduction to building and painting.
Do you have a community for this game?
Yes! We host Warhammer game nights at our Downtown San Diego shop. All skill levels welcome — come play, learn, and meet fellow hobbyists.
