Some games are about winning. This one’s about convincing your friends to eat something extremely questionable.

I’d Eat That is a storytelling party game built around everyone’s favorite topic: food. Using a deck of ingredient cards—ranging from everyday foods to unexpected preparation methods—you’ll assemble a full three-course meal. The catch? You also have to tell the story behind each dish.

One course at a time, you’ll present your culinary creation to the table. Maybe it’s a heartfelt tale of a family recipe… or maybe it’s the strange midnight snack invented by a wandering space chef. The stranger and more creative the story, the better.

After the presentation, the rest of the table decides the only thing that really matters: would they actually eat it?

Originally created for an interactive art exhibit in Tokyo exploring the question of what a game can be, I’d Eat That went on to tour Eastern Europe as a traveling storytelling project before becoming the delightfully weird card game you see here.

It’s part storytelling exercise, part party game, and part culinary improv. Just try not to get too hungry while playing.
