Some games ask you to go big. This one just asks a simple question: up… or down?

Up or Down? is a quick, clever card game where every choice sets the direction for your strategy—literally. You’ll be building columns of cards that either rise or fall, aiming to stack matching colors for the best possible scoring by the end of the game. Sounds simple. It is. Until it isn’t.

From design legends Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling, this one has that perfect “easy to learn, sneaky depth” energy. You’ll be drafting cards, managing your hand, and trying to commit to a plan without second-guessing yourself three turns later. (You will absolutely second-guess yourself.)

The trick is sticking with your decision—because the longer you keep a column going in the same direction, the bigger the payoff. Of course, so is the risk.

Great for game nights, mixed experience groups, or anyone who enjoys a fast-paced strategy game that doesn’t overstay its welcome but still gives you something to think about.
