Vulkan He'stan, the mighty Forgefather of the Salamanders, is a legendary hero for your Space Marines armies in games of Warhammer 40,000! He strides into battle with the very weapons of his Primarch in his hands, relentless in his quest to find the lost relics of Vulkan. He is willing to fight through any foe and face any danger to see his sacred oaths fulfilled.

This multipart plastic kit builds Vulkan He'stan, a truly iconic character for your Salamanders collection. As the Forgefather of the Chapter, he is entrusted with the sacred relics of the Primarch: the Spear of Vulkan, a blade that burns so brightly it can set even ceramite ablaze; Kesare's Mantle, an impenetrable drakescale cloak; and the Gauntlet of the Forge, whose molten rage none can endure. The miniature is packed with incredible Salamanders details, including Chapter iconography, finely wrought flames on the armor, and lizard scales. You also have a choice of two different heads—one helmeted and one bare—allowing you to customize this powerful hero. Vulkan He'stan excels at unleashing the fury of the forge upon the battlefield, making him an ideal addition to your army.

This kit comprises 16 plastic components and is supplied with 1x Citadel 40mm Round Base. This miniature requires assembly and is supplied unpainted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to assemble and paint this?
Yes — most miniature kits come unassembled and unpainted on plastic sprues. You'll need plastic glue, clippers, and paints. We carry everything you need to get started.
What paints and tools do I need?
At minimum: plastic glue, sprue cutters, a primer spray, and a few base paints. We recommend a starter paint set like the Citadel Battle Ready Paint Set for beginners.
Is this a good starting point for the hobby?
Combat Patrol and Starter Sets are designed for new players. They include enough models for a small game and are a great introduction to building and painting.
Do you have a community for this game?
Yes! We host Warhammer game nights at our Downtown San Diego shop. All skill levels welcome — come play, learn, and meet fellow hobbyists.
