Free RPG Day - June 21, 2025

Free RPG Day is back at Bards & Cards! We're hosting multiple tables of incredible one-shots and quickstarts throughout the day on Saturday, June 21st. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or completely new to tabletop RPGs, we've got something perfect for you.

Our volunteer GMs are running everything from whimsical Studio Ghibli-inspired adventures to gritty cyberpunk heists, classic dungeon crawls to space opera diplomacy. Choose from D&D 5E compatible games, Marvel superheroes, Star Trek exploration, post-apocalyptic road warriors, and so much more.

This is your chance to try new systems risk-free, meet fellow gamers in San Diego's most welcoming community, and maybe discover your next favorite RPG. All skill levels welcome - our GMs are fantastic at helping new players jump right in.

Sessions run in 2-hour blocks from noon to 9:30 pm. If your plans change and you can't make your session, please let us know so we can open your spot for another player. Register online or stop by the shop!
